The Creative Documentary Course (CDC) at the Sri Aurobindo Centre for Arts and Communication (SACAC), New Delhi, is the first of its kind in India. Initiated in 2013, the course offers an intensive filmmaking experience with an integrated approach. The students engage in a rigorous exploration of the documentary form with one primary goal – that of searching for their own voice. We work with the belief that all narratives, themes and subjects have been addressed by someone, somewhere, sometime. True originality lies in the filmmaker’s own perspective, her/ his own unique position, reflections and perceptions.
