Vikram Buragohain is a documentary filmmaker and a graphic designer. He has completed his Post graduation from the School of Media and Cultural Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (SMCS, TISS), Mumbai.
Vikram's interest in documentary films began with the student film 'Cornered City', a film exploring the implications of ‘rehabilitation’ for the people who are ‘rehabilitated’. Besides filmmaking, Vikram has a keen interest in graphic designing. Many of his designs have been showcased and published.
His dissertation during his post graduation was on Football culture and identity among the people in north-east. Based on the research and his interest in football culture, specially in the North-East states, he received the Early Career Film Fellowship at the SMCS, TISS in 2014 for a film that explores the football culture in Shillong, Meghalaya.
