Atul Taishete, an MBA from JBIMS and ICWAI, quit a career in Investment Banking to pursue a career in filmmaking. In 2004, he completed his PG from FTII and attended Summer University at La F?mis in Paris. In Paris, he directed a documentary 'Un D'jeuner Tranquille' (A quiet lunch) which was selected at film festivals around the world. His writing credits include 'Risk' (Screenplay) and Johnny Gaddar (Additional Dialogues). 'Rewind' is his first independent narrative fiction film. 'Rewind' is the first Indian short film to have an all India theatrical release (PVR). Screened at more than 40 International film festivals, 'Rewind' has won Grand Jury prizes at Seattle and Victoria.
